She is the Italian swimmer with the most awards, boasting an exceptional sports career highlighted by being the first Italian swimming Olympian (gold in Beijing 2008 in the 200m freestyle). Federica Pellegrini, also known as "la Divina," began her story with a silver at the Athens Games in 2004 and went on to achieve 53 international medals, including 6 golds at the World Championships (eight times out of 8 on the world podium in the 200m freestyle) and 7 at the European Championships. 

Her career is marked by an impressive number of records, with the world record of the 200m freestyle remaining unbeaten to this day. Her illustrious career concluded last summer with the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, where for two years Federica Pellegrini chased her last great sports milestone: being the first woman in swimming history to reach the fifth consecutive Olympic final in the same specialty.
